On the 8th of August, 2019, you can find South London based artist Sherika Sherard perform at the Floating Pocket Park in London.
Formally known as a busker, Sherard gained her popularity and admiration in no time. Prestigious venues such as the Ronnie Scott's, Jazz Cafe, Shoreditch House and the Century Club have invited her out for performances. She has also gained an international recognition by performing at The Seychelles, Senegal and Norway.
It has been observed that when Sherika Sherard performs, the audience is left in complete awe of her presence and aura. Her "infectious creativity" blooms each time and everyone is positively moved as they take it in. Being a singer and a very unique song writer, Sherika was personally picked by the famous film director, Spike Lee for his new Netflix production, "She's Gotta Have it."
"I’ve always loved songwriting from an early age and as soon I was old enough to perform and showcase my songs I was able to find different opportunities and create a career for myself, I’ve been a full-time singer-songwriter for 3 years now." says Sherard during an interview.
She released her debut album "Just Saying" and her 2019 E.P "Patience and Fears" and is already thinking about her next move. She fits in perfectly for this generation and not only do people love her music, they can even look up to her for inspiration. She blends in perfectly.
Her performance at the Floating Pocket Park is scheduled for the 8th of August, Thursday.
In association with the London Busking Company, Sherika will be performing live at the Merchant Square, as part of the Summer of Fun programme of events.
The location is beautiful and absolutely perfect for a pleasant evening out and about.
Sherika Sherard will be performing for free, so hurry and make sure you cop a good spot before you're too late!
Her performance will begin at 5:30pm and go on until 7:30pm. Deckchairs and blankets will be provided while you can walk around and grab some munchies from the street food traders!
